Piret Saartee works at the e-Governance Academy as a Head of the Data and Services Competence Center. Piret has a legal background and more than 15 years of experience as a digital government expert. She has an excellent knowledge of transforming paper-based services and registers into digital together with business process optimisation (e.g. Land Register, Business Register, Marital Property Register, Succession Register, Ship Register etc.). 

Piret has significant experience in legal analysis and drafting, creating strategies and roadmaps, re-engineering public services and digitalising data, conducting training courses, and supporting change management. She has participated in different projects within the European Union, Arabic and African countries, Ukraine etc. Piret was a Project Team Lead of the project EU Support to Strengthening Cyber Security in Ukraine assisting Ukraine during the large scale war.  

She holds a master’s degree in law from the Institute of Law, Estonia.
