Mauro Farias is an administrator and lawyer. He has a postgraduate degree in Administration from the Admiral Wandenkolk Instruction Center (CIAW) and an MBA in Public Administration from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV). He began his career as an officer in the Brazilian Navy. He served as a Federal Police agent for 10 years, working in various areas of the institution. He was Undersecretary of Transportation and Urban Mobility for the municipality of Macaé, Executive Undersecretary of Environment and Sustainability for the State of Rio de Janeiro, and president of the Center for Information and Communication Technology for the State of Rio de Janeiro (PRODERJ).
