Marika Popp is the GovStack Project Lead for Estonia, one of the founding countries of the GovStack Initiative. In her role, she is committed to shaping the future of digital transformation on a global scale as the GovStack approach aims to build a common understanding and technical practice on fundamental, reusable, and interoperable digital components for any public administration worldwide. Marika has over 16 years of experience in fostering digital innovations in the public, non-profit, and private sectors. She has served as the Head of Innovation for the Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications. Over the last five years, she was holding managerial positions in the Estonian private technology sector. She was the Head of Space Solutions for Guardtime, a leading global blockchain company, and Head of Sales and Partnerships for Digital Identity Technologies at Cybernetica, an Estonian tech giant with a pivotal role in building Estonia’s unique e-governance ecosystem. Marika holds Master’s degree in Digital Business Transformation and in European Economic Studies.
